Hello!
I’m Elisabeth
With specialized experience in graphic design, writing, and marketing, I tell stories for a living. Sometimes it’s as the Marketing Manager of The Englert Theatre, a historic 600 seat concert venue. Other times it’s as the Brand Designer for Mission Creek Festival with lineups including Neko Case, Osees, Indigo De Souza, and more. And still other times it’s telling stories visually and in writing for clients such as the UIowa Magid Writing Center, Iowa Writing Festival, FEaST Fest, and more. I graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. During my time there, I wrote for three college publications, designed marketing materials and broadcasted on-air for KRUI, the university’s FM radio station, and received certificates in Entrepreneurial Management and Writing (Literary Publishing).
I have specialized expertise in gender inequality, music history/analysis, arts reporting, and zany corners of internet culture. My biggest personal fascinations are the 80s & 90s Minneapolis Punk and Alt-country scene, along with a growing collection of 400+ used vinyl albums.
